As a flautist, 
Marco has rich experience as a soloist and orchestral players. From his ArtDip and MMus studies at the Royal College of Music and BA in Music at the CUHK, he has studied flute and piccolo extensively with the following teachers:

Katie Bedford (Co-Principal Flute of English National Opera)

Stewart McIlwham (Principal Piccolo of London Philharmonic Orchestra)
Kathleen Stevenson (Principal Piccolo of BBC Symphony Orchestra) &
Rachel Brown (Principal Flute of Academy of Ancient Music)
 
Marco believes the importance of both tone production and fundamental techniques for flautists of all levels. Teaching would cover a wide range of exercises, studies and repertoire. When appropriate, students may take ABRSM examinations accordingly. 

As a conductor,
Marco has worked with different levels of ensembles and orchestras. He has studied conducting with Choi Ho Man (music director of Pro Arte Orchestra of Hong Kong) and accepted to masterclasses with Douglas Bostock and Mark Heron. 
 
From 2023/24, he is currently assistant conductor of Chung Chi Wind Orchestra (CUHK), conductor of La Salle College Wind Orchestra and King's College Wind Band. In the past, he has also been a conductor and orchestra coach at St. Joseph College and Carmel Pak U Secondary School. He has also conducted the Hong Kong Youth Windophilics, La Salle College Old Boys' Wind Orchestra and CUHK Student Orchestra. With his training background as a flautist, Marco has expertise especially in coaching wind orchestra and wind quintet music.
